What are the garment requirements to receive hang tags?

To qualify for LYCRA® fiber hangtags, minimum 50% of the garment must use stretch fabrics and 100% of the spandex/elastane-containing fabrics in the garment must be made with The LYCRA Company approved fabrics. The fabrics must only use LYCRA® fiber or LYCRA® T400® fiber as the stretch component. Detailed fabric qualifications standards are available from local representative of The LYCRA Company. If narrows, waistband, linings, or other spandex/elastane-containing fabrics don’t use LYCRA® fiber, the request may be reviewed by The LYCRA Company for approval.

For legwear to qualify for LYCRA® fiber stickers, socks and hosiery must pass the branding qualifications standards.

To qualify for COOLMAX® fabric and THERMOLITE® fabric hangtags, 80% of the garment (50% for intimate apparel) must be made with the approved fabrics. To qualify for COOLMAX® fabric hangtag in lining, 80% of the garment’s lining (50% for intimate apparel) must be made with the approved COOLMAX® fabric.

To qualify for TACTEL® fiber and SUPPLEX® fabric hangtags, please refer to the brand quality standards available from local representative of The LYCRA Company.
